While ISTAT data for April once again confirm the strength of Italian exports to non-EU countries, with a +1.3% year-on-year increase, the Facilitation Committee chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation today approved a EUR 40 million reserve dedicated to micro and small enterprises.<\/p>\n
The measure, included in the subsidised finance instrument \u201cEnergy for international competitiveness\u201d managed by SIMEST under the resources of Fund 394\/81, has been in force since 25 May and is intended to support Italian companies affected by rising energy costs or experiencing a decline in turnover as a result of the conflict in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, ten equity investment operations worth EUR 45 million were approved under Fund 394\/81, aimed at the acquisition of shares in foreign companies controlled by Italian enterprises. The measures approved will support the consolidation\u2014predominantly in the US market\u2014of Italian companies operating in sectors that are strategic for the national economy.<\/p>\n
In terms of subsidised finance, the Committee approved 359 operations supporting the internationalisation of Italian companies, totalling EUR 185 million.
