{"id":192854,"date":"2026-06-05T15:32:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T13:32:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/\/2026\/06\/vilnius-celebrazioni-per-l80-anniversario-della-repubblica-italiana\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T16:39:22","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T14:39:22","slug":"vilnius-celebrazioni-per-l80-anniversario-della-repubblica-italiana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2026\/06\/vilnius-celebrazioni-per-l80-anniversario-della-repubblica-italiana\/","title":{"rendered":"Vilnius: celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 2 June, at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, over 600 guests attended the celebrations for the 80<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Italian Republic, including representatives of Lithuanian institutions, members of the diplomatic corps and the Italian community.<\/p>\n<p>The evening opened with the national anthems performed by Viktorija Mi\u0161k\u016bnait\u0117, Eugenijus Chrebtovas and Maestro Art\u016bras Anusauskas, followed by a video message from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Emanuele de Maigret highlighted the excellent cooperation with Lithuania, the Year of Lithuanian Culture in Italy, the Italy\u2013Lithuania Cultural Programme 2025\u20132026 and Italy\u2019s contribution to NATO\u2019s Baltic Air Policing missions. The Lithuanian Minister of Culture, Vaida Aleknavi\u010dien\u0117, in a video message, emphasised the strong bilateral cooperation and the \u201cnew phase\u201d of cultural relations.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, the ANSA exhibition \u201cWomen of the Republic \u2013 Eighty Years of Achievements\u201d recalled the evolution of women\u2019s roles since 1946, while the excellence of the Piedmont region was presented by the relevant Regional Councillor and Councillor Laura Pompeo, featuring dishes by Michelin-starred chef Francesco Marchese, wines from the Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe and Dogliani Consortium and artisan gelato by chef Gian Luca Demarco.<\/p>\n<p>Guests also had the opportunity to preview Caravaggio\u2019s work Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy, on display in Vilnius until 2 August.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On 2 June, at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, over 600 guests attended the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, including representatives of Lithuanian institutions, members of the diplomatic corps and the Italian community.
