On 16 June, a sculpture by the Italian contemporary artist Davide Rivalta, entitled “Lupo” (Wolf), was unveiled in Vilnius. The work brings together the legends surrounding the founding of Vilnius and Rome, to mark the 35th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Italy.<\/p>\n
The project, launched on the initiative of the Embassy of Italy in Vilnius and the National Museum of Lithuania, was promoted by the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture and carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Vilnius, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the Italian Cultural Institute of Vilnius.<\/p>\n
