The Forum will be attended by approximately 200 Italian representatives, including companies, business associations, and institutions, as well as nearly 400 Tunisian participants.<\/p>\n<p>The works will envisage a plenary session dedicated to tools to support the bilateral economic partnership, followed by four thematic panels on energy and digital transition; advanced industry and investment; innovation and sustainability in traditional sectors; and transport and logistics infrastructure. The morning of June 25 will be dedicated to B2B meetings between Italian and Tunisian companies.<\/p>\n<p>With Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzi, Minister Tajani will reaffirm Italy&#8217;s commitment to working to strengthen the strategic partnership with Tunisia. The discussions will also focus on deepening economic and trade cooperation, with particular attention to the energy and renewables sectors, and all aspects of bilateral relations with Tunisia, also with reference to current international affairs and the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>During his mission, the Minister will visit the exhibition celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the exhibition &#8220;Football Stories between Italy and Tunisia.&#8221; He will also participate in the Italian-Tunisian CEO Committee &#8220;Include to Grow \u2013 The Mattei Plan,&#8221; promoted by the Tunisian Arab Institute of Business Leaders and ELIS, an Italian non-profit organization operating in the fields of training, career guidance, job placement, and social innovation. ELIS is currently involved in many training and job placement initiatives for Tunisian workers destined for the Italian labour market under the Mattei Plan. The CEO Committee&#8217;s goal is to build cooperation models that benefit both countries, designed both to enhance local skills for the benefit of Tunisian businesses and to promote skilled workers\u2019 mobility from Tunisia to Italy within a regulated immigration framework.<\/p>\n<p>Tunisia is the leading destination market for Italian exports to Africa. In 2025 bilateral trade reached \u20ac6.5 billion, with Italian exports amounting to \u20ac3.4 billion and imports amounting to \u20ac3.1 billion. In the first quarter of 2026, trade reached \u20ac1.7 billion, up 2.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, thanks primarily to the increase in Italian exports (+10.9%). In 2025 Italy confirmed its position as Tunisia&#8217;s second largest supplier and second largest customer, thus demonstrating the strength and dynamism of economic relations between the two countries. The Italian business presence in Tunisia is also strong and well-established.
