The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the case in conjunction with the Embassy in Lima"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, a plane crash occurred in the Nazca area of Peru, in which thirteen people lost their lives, including seven Italian nationals.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan operated by the Peruvian airline Aerodiana, had taken off from Pisco and was heading to fly over the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO-recognised archaeological site. The plane crashed near the Maria Reiche airfield, in the Pueblo Viejo area, after encountering adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The Embassy of Italy in Lima has been in contact with the Peruvian authorities, who have confirmed the deaths of the passengers. The families of our compatriots in Italy have been notified. Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani has been in contact with the Ambassador in Lima, who has sent staff to the scene of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>The Peruvian Ministries of Transport, Tourism and Foreign Affairs are coordinating their activities with the embassies of the involved countries.
