The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with MIDJ \u2013 the Italian Jazz Musicians Association, is promoting \u201cOltreConfine \u2013 Italian Jazz Around the World\u201d, an initiative aimed at\u00a0supporting and enhancing the Italian jazz scene on an international level.<\/p>\n
Through this call, the project offers\u00a0partial or full financial support to Italian jazz musicians who wish to perform abroad, encouraging their participation in major festivals, clubs, and cultural venues. In addition to\u00a0concerts, the programme also includes funding for workshops,\u00a0lessons,\u00a0courses, and\u00a0seminars, with the goal of promoting Italian jazz culture globally.<\/p>\n
The call is open to all jazz musicians over the age of 18, with no upper age limit and regardless of whether they are members of MIDJ. Both\u00a0soloists and ensembles\u00a0with a majority of members of\u00a0Italian nationality or residency\u00a0are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n
The programme finances concerts and tours abroad with an original jazz repertoire. Proposals that have already received funding from other institutions or public programmes are excluded. Activities must take place between 1 June 2026 and 31 May 2027, expenditure may be incurred between 1 March 2026 and 15 June 2027.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0available contributions\u00a0are up to EUR 6,000 for tours within Europe and up to EUR 10,000 for tours outside Europe. Eligible expenses include travel, accommodation, promotional activities, and customs fees.<\/p>\n
Applications must be submitted\u00a0by 11:59 p.m. on 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n
Proposals will be assessed by a panel of experts on the basis of their artistic quality, the applicant\u2019s experience and the project\u2019s consistency with the applicant\u2019s career. The results will be published by 30 October 2026 through MIDJ\u2019s official channels.<\/p>\n
