Lebanon is a priority country for Italian Cooperation, which supports emergency interventions and development initiatives in the fields of environment, water resources, refugee host communities and food security. There are 47 donation initiatives in the country for about EUR 132.3 million. From 2023 to 2026, more than EUR 70 million was also agreed for emergency initiatives. Particular attention is also paid to the most vulnerable Christian communities: under the fund set up to support Christian communities in crisis areas, 5 projects have been funded in Lebanon amounting to approximately EUR 4.5 million, while the last notice provides for a specific batch of EUR 2 million for interventions in the country.<\/p>\n<p>During the day, the Minister will visit, together with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u2019 Pavilion\/Exhibition \u2018Sowing the future\u2019, dedicated this year to food security. As a strategic priority of Italian Cooperation, particularly in Africa, Italy supports sustainable, resilient and inclusive agri-food systems, integrating agricultural development, climate adaptation, training, investment and innovation.
