The exhibition is dedicated to the artist Erika Giovanna Klien, who was born in Borgo Valsugana in 1900 and was a leading figure in Viennese Kinetism. The Director of the <em>Belvedere<\/em>, Stella Rollig, also attended the opening event.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the <em>Belvedere<\/em>, the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and the Italian Institute of Germanic Studies in Rome, thus showing the vitality of cultural relations between Italy and Austria, supported by the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute. The exhibition, curated by Verena Gamper together with Veronica Liotti and Johanna Hofer, will be open at the <em>Unteres Belvedere<\/em> until 31 January 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Pugliese said: \u201cErika Giovanna Klien\u2019s story illustrates &#8211; in a particularly meaningful way &#8211; the depth of the ties between Italy and Austria. Through cultural diplomacy, we can highlight this shared history and, at the same time, foster new opportunities for dialogue and collaboration between our institutions.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The event was also attended by Martina Ferrai, the mayor of Borgo Valsugana, the artist\u2019s birthplace, thus highlighting Klien\u2019s strong ties to the area where she was born.
