The Embassy of Italy in Bulgaria and the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Sofia took part, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and Confindustria Bulgaria, in the 2026 edition of the \u2018Study in Italy\u2019 university fair, organised by the agency Sky-Lines and the non-profit association Uni-Italia, founded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n
For the 17th consecutive year, the Interpred conference centre in Sofia hosted representatives from numerous Italian universities to present the study opportunities offered by Italian universities to Bulgarian students.<\/p>\n
Addressing the young participants, Ambassador Marcello Apicella emphasised that studying in Italy represents an opportunity for personal and cultural growth, highlighting the growing interest amongst Bulgarian citizens in the Italian language. The IIC in Sofia, headed by Maria Mazza, has presented its range of Italian language and culture courses. Also present were the President of Confindustria Bulgaria, Nunziante Coraggio, and the General Secretary of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (CCIB), Anselmo Caporossi.<\/p>\n
The fair provided an overview of the Italian university system, detailing degree programmes, admission requirements, scholarships and university life in Italy. The universities taking part include: the Politecnico di Milano, the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, LUMSA University in Rome, IULM University in Milan, the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, John Cabot University in Rome, the University of Padua, LUISS Guido Carli in Rome and H-FARM College in Treviso. Also in attendance were educational institutions from the fashion and design sector, including the Istituto Marangoni, the European Institute of Design (IED), the New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) and the Domus Academy.<\/p>\n
