In her recent meeting with the Premier, Sali Berisha, the Secretary of State also discussed the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, which Berisha views as \u201ca project of fundamental importance for the Western Balkans\u201d. <\/P><br \/>\n<P>Dass\u00f9 reiterated that Italy \u201cis in the front line\u201d in Europe in supporting the process of European expansion to include Albania. This issue was also the focus of her talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Edmond Haxhinasto, the Minister for European integration, Majlinda Bregu, and the Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha.
