The Italian Scenario\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0initiative is fruit of the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Office of the Prime Minister \u2013 Office for Sports, CONI and ANAC<\/p>\n<p>The Scuola di Perfezionamento delle Forze di Polizia in Rome today hosts the<strong>\u00a0high-level\u00a0Seminar \u201cCombating corruption in sport \u2013 Towards a solid public-private alliance within the framework of the UNCAC Resolution 7\/8.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The Italian Scenario\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is fruit of the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Office of the Prime Minister \u2013 Office for Sports, CONI and ANAC.<\/p>\n<p>The event, in line with the Ministry\u2019s commitment to promoting international anticorruption strategies and with the international community\u2019s actions to promote practices grounded on integrity, prevention and repression of corruption in the sport sector, is aimed at promoting and disseminating the recent approval of UNCAC Resolution 7\/8 \u201cCorruption in Sport\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unodc.org\/documents\/treaties\/UNCAC\/COSP\/session7\/UNCAC_-\">https:\/\/www.unodc.org\/documents\/treaties\/UNCAC\/COSP\/session7\/UNCAC_-<\/a> _Corruption_in_Sport_resolution.pdf\u00a0) \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Resolution, which was adopted at the proposal of Italy, confirms Italy\u2019s leadership role in preventively combating and repressing corruption worldwide, as well as any other form of deviance in an area at risk such as sport.<\/p>\n<p>The scheduled speakers include the Foreign Ministry\u2019s Director General for Internationalisation and Global Affairs,\u00a0<strong>Massimo Gaiani<\/strong>, the Coordinator of the Foreign Ministry\u2019s international activities to combat corruption,\u00a0<strong>Alfredo Maria Durante Mangoni<\/strong>, institutional representatives, experts, and eminent representatives of international Organisations operating in this area. The event is open to the participation of members of the Judiciary, Law Enforcement agencies, the Police Academy, the legal profession and the companies involved.<\/p>\n<p>You can download the programme of the event at the following link<\/p>\n<p><strong>http:\/\/www.coni.it\/images\/1-Primo-Piano-2018\/Programma_Convegno_19.04.2018.pdf<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Seminar schedules\u00a0<strong>three round tables<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The first\u00a0is dedicated to the relevant international regulatory framework, and is open to contributions by representatives of UNODC, the OECD, the Council of Europe, UNESCO, the CIO, the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the NGO Transparency International.
