During the meeting, they discussed the key points of the Italian proposal for a global agreement to manage migration flows. These key points are: shared responsibility of migration between countries of origin, transit and destination; international solidarity; a strong link between development and migration policies; and protection of human rights and the most vulnerable segments of the population, especially underage children. The meeting saw the participation of the representatives of countries that share Italy&#8217;s goals (Argentina, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Morocco, Mexico, Switzerland), representatives of the EU Commission, the International Organization for Migration, and the FAO.
