The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is planning more than 150 events this year\u00a0to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci. They will\u00a0\u00a0include exhibitions, conferences, films and theatrical performances celebrating the great genius of the Renaissance.\u00a0Engineer, artist, scientist and polymath, Leonardo left an immense body of work to study, admire and contemplate. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation plans to celebrate with a packed calendar of events.<\/p>\n
There will be a number of screenings of the \u201cAmazing Leonardo\u201d (\u201cIo Leonardo\u201d) film preview by Sky Arte, directed by Jesus Garces Lambert, with\u00a0Luca Argentero playing the title role and\u00a0scientific consultation by Carlo Marani. The \u201cOpera Omnia\u201d exhibition created by RaiCom will tour 14 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Antonio Paolucci helped set up the exhibition, which will feature 17 high definition copies of\u00a0Leonardo’s\u00a0entire artistic output.\u00a0The film by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory \u201cEssere Leonardo da Vinci.\u00a0Un\u2019intervista impossibile\u201d will be shown at missions and institutes, and some will be accompanied by a theatrical performance by Finazzer Flory. The \u201cDa Vinci Experience\u201d digital exhibition will be held in many places in North and South America, and there will be a reconstruction of scientific machines invented by Leonardo and made by Cross Media Group. The exhibition was created with the collaboration of the Director of the Museo Leonardiano di Vinci, Roberta Barsanti.
