The Palazzo Gl\u00fcckstadt, residence of the Italian Ambassador and the Italian Cultural Institute of Copenhagen, played host to \u201cSerate Napoli Jazz\u201d for two evenings.\u00a0Neapolitan composer and guitarist, Antonio Onorato performed. He has a thirty-year career in the world of jazz music, has over 25 CDs to his name as a solo artist, and has also performed at the Blue Note in New York, historic temple of international jazz music. A scholar of ethnomusicology, Onorato has focused his research on the fusion between the harmonic-melodic styles of Neapolitan cultural language and Afro-American, Middle Eastern and Brazilian music, thus creating a completely original language. His work encompasses jazz, world music and compositions for guitar and orchestra. Onorato uses the Yamaha G10 breath guitar in his concerts, a unique, revolutionary and futuristic instrument. He has often performed in Pino Daniele concerts, and also played with international names like John\u00a0Scofield, Jan\u00a0Garbarek, Charlie\u00a0Haden, Steve\u00a0Grossman, John\u00a0McLaughlin,\u00a0Pat\u00a0Metheny, Tito\u00a0Puente,\u00a0Toots Thielemans,\u00a0Tuck\u00a0&#038; Patti, Gary Burton, George\u00a0Benson and Italian jazz musicians such as Franco Cerri, Enrico Rava, Paco Sery, Eddy Palermo and Tullio De Piscopo. Ambassador Luigi Ferrari introduced Onorato\u2019s performance, at the presence of the Governor of the Bank of Denmark and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
