{"id":25001,"date":"2018-03-07T19:02:13","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/comunicati\/2018\/03\/giovani-talenti-musicali-nel-mondo-2\/"},"modified":"2018-03-07T19:02:13","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:02:13","slug":"giovani-talenti-musicali-nel-mondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/retediplomatica\/2018\/03\/giovani-talenti-musicali-nel-mondo\/","title":{"rendered":"YOUNG ITALIAN MUSICAL TALENTS IN THE WORLD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A project launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in association with the Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena, aims to promote young Italian musical talents abroad and support their career.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and\u00a0the Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena will consolidate through\u00a0<i>Young Italian Musical Talents in the World<\/i>, a project promoted by the Foreign Ministry with the aim of launching the career of young Italian musical talents trained at the master classes of the Accademia Chigiana. The project is part of the \u201cItalian Way of Life\u201d programme, the integrated promotional plan embracing different cultural, economic and scientific sectors of \u201cBrand Italy\u201d, compounding the values traditionally linked to the image of our Country to the promotion of innovation and of the excellence of Made in Italy products. The project will be implemented through the network of Italian Cultural Institutes and of the diplomatic and consular offices in the world, which are strongly committed in promoting young talents abroad.<\/p>\n<p>After the concerts of 2017 in Brussels, Berlin, and Vienna,\u00a0on 7 March the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Brussels will host the debut of celloist\u00a0Giulia Attili and Lavinia Bertulli at the piano. The following event at the IIC is scheduled for 26 April, with a performance by Gennaro Cardaropoli (violin) and Alberto Ferro (piano) and the double quartet of voices and instruments formed by\u00a0Anna Roberta Sorbo, Sara De Flaviis, Pasquale Scircoli and Diego Savini, accompanied by the strings of the No\u00fbs quartet, and pianist Francesco De Poli (15 May). On 27 March, the Quartetto Adorno will be hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute of Paris. The billboard also lists concerts by the duo made up of celloist Erica Piccotti, accompanied at the piano by Monica Cattarossi (on 5 November) and by the duo formed by Ferdinando Trematore (violin), accompanied at the piano by Angela Trematore (on 15 November), organized in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute in New York. Through 2018, several concerts are being planned in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institutes in Berlin, Vienna, and with the Italian Embassy in\u00a0Astana (Kazakhstan), as well as in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, within the framework of the cultural programme \u201cItaly, Cultures, the Mediterranean\u201d promoted by the MAECI.<\/p>\n<p>Many are the international institutions that contribute to extending the network of partners in the\u00a0<i>Young Italian Musical Talents in the World<\/i>\u00a0project, starting with the\u00a0<i>Meet in Beijing Arts Festival<\/i>, with the Country of honour this year being precisely Italy, which will open on 27 April with a concert by the Beijing Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andrea Molino and Tan Lihua, music director of the prestigious Chinese orchestra, and will feature four young talents on the international scene trained in the Accademia Chigiana:\u00a0Anna Roberta Sorbo and Sara De Flaviis (sopranos), Pasquale Scircoli (tenor) and Diego Savini (baritone). The\u00a0opera gala paying homage to Rossini is meant to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the death of the Italian composer in the Chinese capital. In May,\u00a0<i>Meet in Beijing\u00a0<\/i>will also host performances by the\u00a0No\u00fbs Quartet and by celloist Erica Piccotti, accompanied by pianist Monica Cattarossi.<\/p>\n<p>The Accademia Musicale Chigiana di Siena is the most important music academy on the Italian music scene and one of the internationally best-known schools for training courses and master classes spanning from the great classical repertory to the new languages of contemporary music. The alumni of the Chigiana Academy include star musicians on the\u00a0\u00a0music scene of the 20<sup>th<\/sup>century:\u00a0\u00a0Daniel Baremboim, Claudio Abbado, and Zubin Mehta, just to mention a few. The master classes of the Accademia Chigiana di Siena are held by some of the best stage performers in the world in line with the highest international standards. The 250 students who are annually admitted to the Summer Academy after a very rigorous selection process come from more than 40 Countries.
