On Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 11:00 am,<\/strong>\u00a0the the Farnesina will host the “MAECI Day of Sustainable Mobility”<\/strong>\u00a0at the presence of\u00a0Manlio di Stefano<\/strong>\u00a0Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n

The event aims to promote sustainable mobility and integrated transport systems and schedules two sessions:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

11.00 a.m. – Area outside the Farnesina, access from the Olympic Stadium side\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Opening of the new bicycle parking area financed by the Municipality of Rome.<\/p>\n

The day\u2019s agenda also includes the possibility of testing electric vehicles in view of the coming into effect of a convention signed with the SharenGo electric carsharing service providing advantageous conditions for the Foreign Ministry\u2019s personnel.\u00a0<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n

An Information service will be available on the opening of a free bicycle parking area for MAECI personnel in the proximity of the A Metro line Ottaviano Station by the Guglielmo Marconi University (\u201cBike\u00a0 Bike to Work project\u201d).\u00a0<\/p>\n

The \u201cBike Bike to Work\u201d project is the fruit of a partnership between the MAECI, the Municipality of Rome and the Guglielmo Marconi University to reduce the Ministry\u2019s environmental footprint and promote the personnel\u2019s organizational wellbeing by riding bicycles to work. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

– Opening of the dressing room to enable those who ride a bicycle to work to change inside the building.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n

The initiative is part of the Farnesina Green Project and is consistent with the Plastic Free Project. Both projects received an award at the Forum PA 2019 in the \u201cEnvironment and Sustainability\u201d section<\/div>\n

Nicandro Cascardi<\/strong>,\u00a0 Director General for Administration, IT and Communications, will open the event, followed by\u00a0Stefano Simonelli<\/strong>, President of the 15th District of the Municipality of Rome.<\/p>\n

The event will close with remarks by the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI),\u00a0Manlio di Stefano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event will also be attended by\u00a0Patrizia Falcinelli<\/strong>, MAECI Deputy Director General for Human Resources,\u00a0Pasquale Annunziata<\/strong>, Councillor for the Environment of the 15th District of the Municipality of Rome,\u00a0Fabio Orecchini<\/strong>, Dean of the School of Engineering at Guglielmo Marconi University,\u00a0Alessandra Giordani<\/strong>\u00a0from Guglielmo Marconi University and\u00a0Paola Sinibaldi<\/strong>\u00a0from Sharengo.<\/p>\n
