On Thursday, 23 May 2019, at 11 a.m.,\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0Farnesina will host the\u00a0\u201cMAECI Sustainable Mobility Day\u201d,\u00a0<\/strong>at the presence of the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Manlio Di Stefano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Event aims to promote sustainable mobility and integrated transport systems and schedules two sessions:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

11:00 a.m. \u2013 Outside the Farnesina, Olympic Stadium side<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Inauguration of the new bicycle parking area financed by the Municipality of the Capital of Rome.<\/p>\n

The Day\u2019s agenda also includes the possibility of testing electric vehicles in view of the coming into effect of a convention signed with the SharenGo electric carsharing service providing advantageous conditions for the Foreign Ministry\u2019s personnel.<\/p>\n

An Information service will be available on the opening of a free bicycle parking area for MAECI personnel in the proximity of the A Metro line Ottaviano Station by the Guglielmo Marconi University (\u201cbike bike to work project\u201d).<\/p>\n

The \u201cbike bike to work\u201d project is the fruit of a partnership between the MAECI, the Municipality of Rome and the Guglielmo Marconi University to reduce the Ministry\u2019s environmental footprint and promote the personnel\u2019s organizational wellbeing by riding bicycles to work.<\/p>\n

Afterwards \u2013 Inside the Farnesina, Floor -1<\/strong><\/p>\n

– opening of the dressing room to enable those who ride a bicycle to work to change inside the building.<\/p>\n

The initiative is part of the Farnesina Green Project and is consistent with the Plastic Free Project. Both projects received an award at the Forum PA 2019 in the \u201cEnvironment and Sustainability\u201d section.<\/p>\n

The event will open with remarks by the Director General for Administration, IT and Communications,\u00a0Nicandro Cascardi,\u00a0<\/strong>followed by a greeting from the\u00a0President of the 15th<\/sup>\u00a0District of the Municipality of Rome,\u00a0Stefano Simonelli,\u00a0<\/strong>and by\u00a0<\/strong>the Director General for Resources and Innovation,\u00a0Renato Varriale.<\/strong>\u00a0The event will close with remarks by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI),\u00a0Manlio Di Stefano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event will also be attended by\u00a0Pasquale Annunziata,\u00a0<\/strong>Municipal Councillor for the Environment of the\u00a015th<\/sup>\u00a0District of the Municipality of Rome,\u00a0Fabio Orecchini<\/strong>, the Director of the Engineering Department at the Guglielmo Marconi University,\u00a0Alessandra Giordani<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Paola Sinibaldi<\/strong>\u00a0from SharenGo.<\/p>\n
