The Farnesina will host the <\/strong>presentation of the book and the web documentary\u00a0<\/i>\u201cItalians in Belgium<\/strong>\u201d on 13 February 2018, at 3:30 p.m.<\/strong> The initiative is part of the project \u201cItalians in Europe –\u00a0 European integration seen through the eyes of Italians living abroad<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

Italians in Europe <\/strong>tells the current story and the past history of the Italian community in key European countries, through a series of photography books, multimedia web documentaries and traditional media reports published by\u00a0National Geographic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project, organised in conjunction with the Archivio Diaristico Nazionale<\/strong>, stems from the book and web documentary \u201cItalians and the UK\u201d, published in July 2016 (www.italiansandtheuk.it<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cItalians in Belgium\u201d makes up the first chapter of the new series, to be followed by the release of \u201cItalians in\u00a0 Germany\u201d.<\/p>\n

The event will be attended by the Director General of the DG Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Maria\u00a0Vignali<\/strong>, the Minister Counsellor from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium to Italy,\u00a0 Birgit Stevens,<\/strong> the Director of the National Geographic Italia, Marco\u00a0Cattaneo,\u00a0<\/strong>and writers\u00a0 Lorenzo\u00a0Colantoni<\/strong> and Riccardo\u00a0Venturi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nicola\u00a0Maranesi <\/strong>from the Archivio Diaristico Nazionale, will be the moderator of the event.<\/p>\n

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following two ways:<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0 by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation\u2019s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/a> (Tel. + 39 06\/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his\/her media organisation (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation\u2019s Country.<\/p>\n
