On 5 February 2018,\u00a0<\/strong>the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Angelino Alfano<\/strong>,\u00a0the Minister of Education, University and Research\u00a0(MIUR)\u00a0Valeria Fedeli, <\/strong>and the \u00a0Minister of Health,\u00a0Beatrice Lorenzin, <\/strong>will convene the Scientific Attach\u00e9s at the Farnesina in a Conference that, this year too, will be attended by eminent personalities from the world of research, university, innovative companies and start-ups.<\/p>\n

The Conference is aimed at outlining the new action strategies to promote Italian science and technology abroad and at awarding a prize to two Italians: to a researcher and a founder of a start-up abroad, each one for their respective categories.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition of the Conference of Scientific Attach\u00e9s aims to promote the necessary connection between the various players of the Italian innovation platform in its different aspects \u2013 training, research and industry \u2013 through the fundamental theme of health, with a view to promoting Italy\u2019s strengths in producing high-quality research and innovation in all sectors, especially health.<\/p>\n

The opening session of the Conference will start at 10:00 a.m., with remarks by Minister Angelino Alfano<\/strong>, Minister\u00a0Valeria Fedeli<\/strong>, and Minister Beatrice Lorenzin<\/strong>. The debate will be moderated by the Director General for Economic and Cultural Promotion and Innovation, Vincenzo de Luca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At 10:45 a.m. there will be the Award Ceremony to confer a prize to an Italian researcher abroad and to the Italian founder of a start-up abroad.<\/p>\n

From 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the proceedings will continue with a Panel entitled \u201cHealth 4.0 and Italian-speaking Innovation\u201d,\u00a0moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of Corriere Salute, Luigi Ripamonti, in which some of the most eminent representatives of the world of public institutions, research, the technology-producing industry and start-ups, will debate the prospects of Italian spearheading research and technology in this particular moment of great momentum of knowledge-led growth and of growth driven by industrial digitalization.<\/p>\n

At 12:45 p.m., the Conference will close with remarks by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Elisabetta Belloni<\/strong>, the President of the \u2018Consulta dei Presidente degli Enti pubblici di ricerca\u2019 (Council of Presidents of Public Research Agencies),\u00a0Massimo Inguscio,<\/strong>\u00a0and the President of the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities (CRUI),\u00a0Gaetano Manfredi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The working sessions will be open to the press from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <\/strong><\/p>\n
