On Friday, 20 October, <\/strong>the Plenary Meeting of the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa (ICA) <\/strong>will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In its role as president of the G7, Italy will co-chair the meeting with the African Development Bank. \u00a0The theme of the plenary meeting will be \u201cToward Smart and Integrated Infrastructure for Africa: An agenda for digitalisation, decarbonisation and mobility\u201d.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be opened by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mario Giro,<\/strong> along with the Vice President of the African Development Bank, Pierre Guislain<\/strong>, after a short keynote address by the Deputy Director General for Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luca Maestripieri.<\/strong> Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol, will also address the meeting, along with the Commissioner for Energy at the African Union Commission, Amani Abou-Zeid, <\/strong>the Tunisian Minister for Investments and International Cooperation, Zied Ladhari,<\/strong> and the Kenyan Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, James Macharia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Infrastructure Consortium for Africa brings countries from the G7, the G20 and International Financial\u00a0Organizations\u00a0together, encouraging the funding of infrastructure projects in Africa in order to boost economic growth,\u00a0which will consequently\u00a0have significant effects on stability and security and migration.<\/p>\n
