Alfano:\u00a0\u201cLet us capitalise on the relationship between our language, Italian creativity and the world of young and emerging designers “<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday, 15 June 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.<\/strong>, the Farnesina will host the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of the\u00a0\u201cItalianism\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>project entitled\u00a0“Il design della parola. La parola ai designer\u201d (\u201cThe Design of the Word.\u00a0The Word of Designers\u201d).<\/p>\n

“The initiative –\u00a0\u00a0said Minister Alfano \u2013 aims to capitalise on the relationship between our language, Italian creativity and the world of young and emerging designers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Conference will open with remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,\u00a0Angelino Alfano<\/strong>, followed by contributions by Renato Fontana, of the association Italianism,\u00a0Giovanna Talocci<\/strong>, of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) and\u00a0Massimo Bray<\/strong>, of the Institute of the Italian Encyclopaedia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWithin the scope of the project \u2013 the minister explained \u2013 a prize will be awarded to 30 Italian emerging designers and creatives who will be called to illustrate, through their work, ten words of the Italian language connected to the world of culture and design: ethics, form, future, idea, innovation, interaction, intuition, project, research and vision.\u201d<\/p>\n

The initiative, whose working sessions will continue at the Department of Architecture of University La Sapienza, follows the edition entitled \u201cTen Words\u201d, which was organised in cooperation with the Accademia della Crusca, and was co-developed by ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. The 2017 contest has received the application of more than 600 designers.<\/p>\n

For the prize-awarding ceremony, the Campari Group, a historical Italian spirits manufacturer, will grant on a free loan to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the masterpiece \u201cLo Spiritello\u201d (1921) by Leonetto Cappiello.<\/p>\n

The Event will be moderated by\u00a0Vincenzo De Luca<\/strong>, director general of the Foreign Ministry\u2019s Directorate for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
