Organised by Banca Popolare Etica in\u00a0partnership with the Directorate General for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the event will be split into two themed sessions dedicated respectively to the role of microfinance and access to credit in development cooperation programmes and to microfinance experiences and\u00a0best practices in the southern hemisphere.<\/p>\n<p>The Conference, which will be introduced by the Chairman of Banca Popolare Etica, Ugo Biggeri, and the Director General for Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Pietro Sebastiani, will also be attended by the Director of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency, Laura Frigenti, the Business Development Manager of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Bernardo Bini Smaghi, and the Director for Sustainable Growth and\u00a0Development\u00a0\u00a0at the EU Commission, Roberto Ridolfi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The whole Conference will be open to the press.<\/p>\n<p>Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by completing the interactive form at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mae.accreditationsystem.info\/ITA\/Indice.asp\">http:\/\/mae.accreditationsystem.info\/ITA\/Indice.asp<\/a><\/strong>, attaching, unless already provided, the digital documentation requested (letter from the media organisation and, for\u00a0 representatives of foreign media, also a Nota Verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of the media organisation&#8217;s\u00a0 country).<\/p>\n<p>If it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications may be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation&#8217;s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:accreditamentostampa@esteri.it\"><strong>accreditamentostampa@esteri.it<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 (tel. 06\/3691.3432-8573-8210).<\/p>\n<p>Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews will be able to access the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via the main entrance, left-hand side, between 10:15 and 11:10 a.m..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"On Wednesday 19th October, from 11.15 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., the\u00a0&#8220;Microfinance for the Development of Peoples&#8221; Conference\u00a0will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
