The presentation, organised by the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights (Italian initials CIDU) in collaboration with the University of Padua, coincides with Human Rights Day.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be opened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni. It is dedicated to the international laws governing human rights, the action programmes of the Council of Europe and the United Nations, and the role that education can play in this sector, for general awareness raising and for young people in schools and universities.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers are Prof. Antonio Papisca, editor of the Italian Human Rights Yearbook; Antonio Marchesi, President of Amnesty International Italia; and Gianni Magazzeni, from the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Human Rights Day, an event entitled \u201cThe Fundamental Rights in Europe: Challenges and Results in 2014\u201d will be held at 15.00 to present the annual report of the European Union\u2019s Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA).<\/p>\n<p>The FRA event will be opened by Gianludovico de Martin, chair of the CIDU, and Annamaria Simonazzi, chair of the Scientific Committee of the Giacomo Brodolini Foundation (FGB).
