{"id":26126,"date":"2015-11-03T14:53:54","date_gmt":"2015-11-03T13:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/comunicati\/2015\/11\/nota-di-servizio-per-i-redattori_123-2\/"},"modified":"2015-11-03T14:53:54","modified_gmt":"2015-11-03T13:53:54","slug":"nota-di-servizio-per-i-redattori_123","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/notestampa\/2015\/11\/nota-di-servizio-per-i-redattori_123\/","title":{"rendered":"ACCREDITATION NOTICE \u2013 Opening of new Documentation Centre and Press Conference Ministers for Foreign Affairs Gentiloni and Steinmeier (9 November 2015)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In commemoration of the 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the tragic events of 1943-1945, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, will take part in a ceremony on <strong>Monday 9 November at 9:40<\/strong> for the inauguration of a project for the construction of a <strong>culture of memory<\/strong> to be held in the <strong>town hall of Ponte Buggianese<\/strong> (province of Pistoia), once the theatre of a Nazi massacre.<\/p>\n<p>The two ministers will go on to the offices of the prefecture of Pisa where a bilateral meeting will be followed by a <strong>joint press conference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The memory project, financed through the \u201cItalo-German Fund for the Future\u201d set up in Germany in 2014, includes the permanent \u201cEccidio del Padule di Fucecchio\u201d Documentation Centre regarding.<\/p>\n<p>The joint presence of the Italian and German foreign ministers is a highly symbolic gesture intended to honour and pass down the memory of the victims of Nazi barbarism. The event falls within the context of a common commitment to the construction of a shared memory of the Italo-German war, and completes the cycle of 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversaries of tragedies that took place between 1943- and 1945.
