A reminder that t<\/A>he \u201cInnovation Report 2014\u201d produced by the COTEC Foundation, an organisation devoted to improving Italy\u2019s technological competitiveness, will be presented at the Farnesina at 15.30 on Monday 1 December 2014. <\/P> Attendees include the Director General for Country Promotion, Ambassador Andrea Meloni; the President of the COTEC Foundation and the National Research Council (CNR), Luigi Nicolais; the Directors of the COTEC Foundations of Italy, Spain and Portugal; and representatives of numerous start-ups. <\/P> The 2014 Report examines the state of research and innovation in Italy and highlights the results achieved. It also spotlights the strong points and problems found in universities, research bodies and businesses operating at the international level. <\/P> Created in 2001 at the initiative of the then President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, the COTEC Foundation \u2013 with its Spanish and Portuguese counterparts Fundaci\u00f3n Cotec and Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Cotec \u2013 is part of the COTEC-Europe Federation.
