Foreign Minister Emma Bonino will be attending the presentation of Hands Off Cain\u2019s 2013 report on the death penalty, \u201cThe Death Penalty Worldwide\u201d. The event will take place in Via di Torre Argentina 76, in Rome, at 15.00 on Friday 26 July 2013.<\/STRONG> <\/STRONG><\/STRONG><\/P>

Also taking part will be Giuseppe Ferraro, from the Universit\u00e0 Federico II in Naples; Marco Pannella, President of Hands Off Cain; Sergio d\u2019Elia, the organisation\u2019s Secretary; and Elisabetta Zamparutti, Treasurer. <\/P>
\n

Hands Off Cain\u2019s 2013 report, published by Reality Book<\/I>, is an account of the most significant events concerning the death penalty in 2012 and the first six months of 2013. <\/P>
\n

The event will also illustrate the goals of the Hands Off Cain campaign following the UN General Assembly\u2019s approval of the resolution on the global moratorium on executions in December 2012.<\/P>
\n

This year\u2019s report is dedicated to Martin O\u2019Malley, Governor of Maryland, who abolished the death penalty on 2 May 2013, making Maryland the sixth American state to do so. Governor O\u2019Malley will receive the \u201cAbolitionist of the Year for 2013\u201d award at an event attended by numerous Ambassadors and Italian members of Parliament.<\/P>
