On Tuesday 2 July 2013 at 11:00, a press conference will be held at the foreign ministry in Rome, organised by the Directorate General for Development Cooperation and a delegation of the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti<\/STRONG> (LND), to report on the “Mision Campeones<\/STRONG>” recently held in Guatemala City aimed at sponsoring the \u201cEscuelas Metropolitanas de F\u00fatbol\u201d (EMEFUT) <\/STRONG>project.<\/P>

The project, funded by the foreign ministry in collaboration with the Italo-Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce and the CS33 Consulting Firm, with the sponsorship of Pepsi and Banco BANTRAB, hopes to reduce youth violence through soccer, understood as a vehicle for development and social inclusion. The LND-FIGC delegation brought sports equipment for 16 soccer schools in 14 difference districts of the capital for children of between 5 and 17 years of age.<\/P>

Participants in the press conference, in addition to representatives from the Italian Cooperation, will include FIGC Vice President Carlo Tavecchio and <\/STRONG>Lega Nazionale Dilettanti Vice President Antonio Cosentino. <\/STRONG>Testimonial for the event will be Giovanni Galli, former goal keeper <\/STRONG>for the national and other major league teams such as Florence and Milan. <\/STRONG><\/P>
