The closing was made necessary as a result of the deteriorating situation in Libya\u201d, said Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cItaly continues to work with the international community in an effort to fight terrorism and rebuild a unified and inclusive state in Libya based on the negotiations launched by UN Special Envoy Leon, in which our ambassador Buccino will continue to participate\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe worsening situation\u201d, the minister concluded, \u201cnow calls for extraordinary engagement and a greater assumption of responsibility along the lines that the parliament will begin to discuss on Thursday 19 February.
