The GPE is the major international partnership dedicated to access to education in developing Countries that puts together donors, developing Countries, civil society, philanthropists and the private sector, and to which Italy contributed almost 47 million euros for its creation in 2002.<br \/>The Deputy Foreign Minister confirmed that Italy considers education to be one of the principal sustainable development goals of the UN 2030 Agenda: SDG 4, in which the GPE has taken a leadership role. Besides the contribution made to the GPE, the Italian cooperation service\u2019s support to education in developing Countries is broad-reaching and diversified. \u201cItaly has always been on the front line in these themes,\u201d said the Deputy Minister. She then went on to say that Italy will commit to keeping education among the top priorities of the G7 and proposed to develop partnerships in sub-Saharan Africa and especially in the Horn of Africa.
