She said: \u201cThe challenges that development cooperation will have to meet are many: combat poverty, inequalities, the empowerment of women, rights, peace and security, responding to humanitarian crises and global health. This requires greater synchronization between strategic orientations, objectives and priorities. We are already working in this direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In highlighting the special attention focused on Africa, \u201cwhose development is strategic for the future of Europe,\u201d the Deputy Minister underscored the importance of the concept of \u201cshared development\u201d, on the basis of which \u201ccooperating means sharing mutually advantageous development processes\u201d grounded on strategies jointly developed with the beneficiaries, as laid down under the 2030 Agenda.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Minister concluded: \u201cItaly and Italians possess values and sensitivities that can enrich our way of delivering cooperation.
