Minister Alfano firmly condemns the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen towards Riyadh, in the territory of Saudi Arabia. \u201cThe action of Houthi rebels constitutes a threat to peace and stability in the region and worsens the prospects of a negotiated and inclusive solution to the crisis that has been assailing Yemen for the past three years,\u201d affirmed the chief Italian diplomat.<\/p>\n
Minister Alfano continued: \u201cIt is time for this spiral of violence, which is fuelled by these pointless acts of defiance, to stop and for the parties in this crisis to decide to return to the negotiating table to find, through dialogue, a peaceful solution that represents the only possible way of putting an end to the conflict and to the suffering of the civilian population.\u201d<\/p>\n
