It was jointly chaired by the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincenzo Amendola and the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Oleg Syromolotov. The Italian delegation included senior officials from the ministries of Foreign Affairs,\u00a0\u00a0the Interior, Infrastructure and Transport, and ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) and the National Anti-Mafia and Anti-terrorism Prosecutor\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They discussed the threat from Islamic terrorism, how to combat the phenomenon of foreign fighters, extremism and radicalisation and co-operation in tackling organised crime, including cyber security.<\/p>\n<p>Undersecretary Amendola said:\u00a0\u201cOur co-operation in the face of international challenges has an immediate and tangible effect on the security of our citizens.
