Alfano: \u201cExcellent teamwork coordinated by the Farnesina\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The outcome of the emergency medical repatriation of a young Italian missionary, who was hospitalised in extremely serious condition in Burkina Faso, where she was carrying out humanitarian aid activities, was a great success.<\/p>\n<p>The young woman fell very ill a few days ago in Ouagadougou, where local physicians suggested that she be taken to Italy. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After evaluating the case, the Italian Embassy in Abidjan immediately expedited the repatriation procedure, relying on an aircraft of the Prime Minister\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cThanks to the work of our Embassy, the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, the Air Force, the Prefecture of Rome and the Tor Vergata Polyclinic, which made available a team of doctors and the necessary equipment, the missionary was brought back to Rome,\u201d said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano.<\/p>\n<p>He went on: \u201cOperations such as these are extremely sensitive and complex, as speed is an essential factor and the Foreign Ministry plays an essential role in coordinating this excellent teamwork.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The outcome of the emergency medical repatriation of a young Italian missionary, who was hospitalised in extremely serious condition in Burkina Faso, where she was carrying out humanitarian aid activities, was a great success.
