The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, received today at the Farnesina the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), \u00c1ngel Gurria, who is in Rome to present the Economic Survey of Italy 2017.<\/p>\n
The meeting offered the opportunity to express appreciation for the support given by the OECD in defining and implementing the agenda of the Italian Chairmanship of the G7.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is essential for the rotating Chair to be able to count on international organisations such as the OECD in order to dispose of statistical data and figures, advice on policy lines and instruments to adopt, establish common goals and monitor the commitments made,\u201d said Minister Alfano. He added: \u201cWe are especially grateful for your contribution to the area of \u2018resource efficiency\u2019 and to other environmental issues, as well as in the sector of innovation, and also for the decision to host the Senior Officials Meeting of the Deauville Partnership in Paris next 30 March.\u201d<\/p>\n
