The Foreign Ministry welcomes with great satisfaction the Indian Supreme Court\u2019s decision released today extending Latorre\u2019s right to remain in Italy until the end of the arbitral proceedings, as requested by Italy. With this provision, the Court extended to Latorre the decision issued last 29 April by the Court of Arbitration established at The Hague, which had made the same provision for Marine Salvatore Girone. The decision marks an important step in recognising the Italian Government\u2019s commitment to uphold the reasons of the two Italian marines before the international court of arbitration.
