These are the topics that <strong>Thorfinnur Gunlaugsson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Bruno D&#8217;Agostino<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Emanuele Cappello<\/strong>\u00a0of the <strong>TG\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Supramolecular and Medicinal Chemistry Research Group (School of Chemistry &#8211; Trinity College Dublin) <\/strong>will be debating to mark the<strong> <\/strong>\u00a0Italian\u00a0Research in the World Day.Promoted by the Ministry of Education, University and Research in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Ministry of Health, the\u00a0<strong>Italian Research Day in the World <\/strong>is designed to\u00a0promote<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>every year on 15 April , i.e. Leonardo da Vinci&#8217;s birth date, the relevance of Italian scientific and technological research which is conducted in Italy and across the world. Italian research today ranks eight in the world in terms of scientific publications (Scimago), and Italian\u00a0researchers are considered to be a very valuable asset. There are currently over 246,000 \u00a0people working in the R &#038; D sector in Italy. Science &#8220;overcomes cultural and language barriers, effectively\u00a0supports political and diplomatic actions and at times it can lead the way. Italy is proud of its researchers whose creativity and competence are acknowledged in Italy and abroad.
