\u201cThe Roads of Friendship\u201d project, which has been organised by the Fondazione Ravenna Manifestazioni ever since 1997 under the directorship of Maestro Riccardo Muti, has the merit of maximising the dissemination of Italian music, promoting the best Italian orchestras and young talents abroad while, at the same time, reinforcing the ties between peoples. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
This year \u201cThe Roads of Friendship\u201d project envisages an exchange of concerts that, on one part, will involve the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra \u2013 putting together musicians from the Orchestras of the Fondazioni Lirico Sinfoniche italiane and of the Choir of the Municipal Theatre of Piacenza \u2013 and, on the part of Iran, the Symphonic Orchestra of Tehran. This year\u2019s exchange is the fruit of the cooperation between Fondazione Ravenna Manifestazioni and the Roudaki Foundation. The Italian orchestra is scheduled to perform at the National Garden in Tehran on 6 July, while the Iranian orchestra will be on stage on 8 July in Ravenna, at Palazzo Mauro de Andr\u00e9, both conducted by Riccardo Muti.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Italian Foreign Ministry and Embassy have made a decisive contribution to the success of the initiative by supporting \u2013 both in terms of organisation and funding \u2013 this exceptional musical event that represents a point of excellence of the present edition of the Ravenna Festival.
