The Festival&#8217;s 17th edition will run from 1 to 7 June, 2017\u00a0 and offer New York audiences a selection of the\u00a0most important\u00a0Italian films of 2016. The opening night will feature the New York premiere of\u00a0&#8220;Indivisible&#8221;, an\u00a0award winning film by Edoardo De Angelis that tells the captivating story of\u00a0two talented conjoined twins whose dreams about their future start to diverge when they are about to turn 18. Co-produced by\u00a0Istituto Luce and the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the festival enjoys the cooperation and support of the Italian Trade Agency, ICE,\u00a0 the Italian Cultural Institute in New York,\u00a0Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimo\u2014NYU and Antonio Monda. This year&#8217;s edition will showcase 13 new films. They are all North American or New York premiers, including At\u00a0<i>War with Love,\u00a0<\/i>a satire set during World War II, by famous TV host &#8216;Pif&#8217;,\u00a0Pierfrancesco Diliberto, and Federica Di Giacomo&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0documentary film on exorcism\u00a0<i>Deliver,\u00a0<\/i>that was awarded the &#8216;Orizzonti Award&#8217; at the 2016 Venice Fim Festival.\u00a0The festival&#8217;s programme will also feature Marco Tullio Giordana&#8217;s &#8220;Two Soldiers&#8221;, his latest addition to his\u00a0trilogy on organised crime,\u00a0and &#8220;The War of the Yokels&#8221; by\u00a0Davide Barletti and Lorenzo Conte, a fable about a society at war with a cast\u00a0made up almost entirely by children.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Lincoln Center\u00a0for the Performing Arts\u00a0in New York City will soon host\u00a0\u201cOpen Roads: New Italian Cinema\u201d,\u00a0 the major\u00a0film festival dedicated to\u00a0Italian\u00a0contemporary cinema in the\u00a0United States.
