In a lecture entitled &#8220;Introduction to Italian folk music&#8221;, Professor Sabina Longhitano will discuss the general characteristics of the genre with a view to making it more widely known and loved, considering that the repertory of Italian folk music is still thriving, very rich and extremely diversified, thus representing a precious source of information on the identity, culture, history and mind-set of a community, in addition to being its artistic, lyrical and poetic expression.
