The three-day event, organised in cooperation with the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, aims to pay homage to the Italian film director on the 100<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of his birth (11 February 1917). From Friday through Sunday, some of the most famous films by the director, one of the fathers of Italian neorealism, will be shown to the public. The screening will include nine films, beginning with the documentary \u201cDays of Glory\u201d (\u201cGiorni di gloria\u201d) of 1945, which will be followed by \u201cTragic Hunt\u201d (\u201cCaccia tragica\u201d, 1947), featuring Vivi Gioi and Andrea Checchi and \u201cBitter Rice\u201d (\u201cRiso amaro\u201d), the 1949 iconic film on the women working in the rice fields that marked the cinematographic debut of Silvana Mangano, co-starring with Vittorio Gassman, Doris Dowling and Raf Vallone.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday\u2019s programme will include: \u201cNo Peace Under the Olive Tree\u201d (\u201cNon c&#8217;\u00e8 pace tra gli ulivi\u201d) a film of 1950 featuring the debut of Lucia Bos\u00e9 playing a woman involved in a vendetta between two shepherds. The following screening will be of \u201cRome 11:00\u201d (\u201cRoma, ore 11\u201d, 1952), a film narrating a tragic accident involving a group of girls looking for a job. Silvana Pampanini is the star of \u201cA Husband for Anna\u201d (\u201cUn marito per Anna Zaccheo\u201d, 1953) which will be screened at 9 p.m. on Saturday.
