The event was presented by Italian Ambassador in Minsk, Stefano Bianchi, and the Belarusian Minister of Culture, Boris Svetlov. \u201cThe constantly growing promotion of Italian culture in Belarus supplements the economic and business integration and tangibly contributes to strengthening political relations,\u201d explained Ambassador Bianchi. He continued: \u201cThe Year of Italian Culture touches sectors unexplored up to now like jazz music, theatre, contemporary art (the combined exhibition of Futurist\u00a0Gerardo Dottori and Belarusian Suprematist artist Nadia Khodossievich L\u00e9ger), but also includes equally important anniversaries like the 150<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of the birth of Luigi Pirandello and the traditional celebrations of the Day of Design and the Week of Italian Language and the Week of Italian Cuisine\u201d.
