The Italian Cultural Institute\u00a0 (IIIC) in Strasbourg is preparing to host the\u00a0exhibition titled \u201cParis 1900. Sguardo sulla scena. Regard sur la sc\u00e9ne\u00a0. Glance on Stage. Portraits of actresses by Alfredo Muller.\u201d The event, opening next Thursday is the\u00a0result of meticulous work carried out by the \u2018Friends of Alfredo Muller\u2019 association. It brings together a series of portraits of actresses, engravings and lithographs depicting Paris in the Belle Epoque. Commissioned by his Parisian publishers, the works were produced by the Franco-Tuscan artist in 1900, while the French capital was preparing to host the Universal Exhibition.<\/p>\n
The exhibition will run until 3 February and is accompanied by a 3-language booklet entitled \u201cParis 1900. Glance\u00a0on stage\u201d, published in 2016, with the support of the IIC, and containing many anecdotes and a preface by Helene Koehl, the Association\u2019s president and a descendent of the artist.
