He said: \u201cI came here with my suitcases and my saxophone; I brought music with me but I found more here because this is a very stimulating environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Angelo narrated his experience to \u201cPostcards from the other Italy\u201d, the web series produced by the news agency \u20189colonne\u2019 with the support of the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Angelo is the director of the Italian Orchestra in Brussels, established in 2013 and composed of 15 musicians, almost all of Italian origin. It is a project created to keep alive the ties with the motherland: \u201cA relationship that must be maintained if we don\u2019t want to lose our roots and the very reason that led us to go abroad,\u201d said the young sax player.<\/p>\n<p>The interviews of \u201cPostcards from the other Italy\u201d give a dynamic, natural, practical and updated storyboard of the other Italy, the one beyond the national borders: the dreams, expectations, comparisons, joys and disappointments of young Italians who have opted for making an experience abroad, whether for will or for necessity, using their testimonials to maintain that unbreakable tie that links them to their Country of origin. \u00a0The interviews span from Brussels to New York, from Rio de Janeiro to Shanghai: every week the web series schedules a new video interview to outline the profile of the new generation of emigrants, visible on the 9colonne.it website, on the YouTube channel of Nove Colonne and on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sax player, composer, arranger and teacher: Angelo Gregorio, 33, from Salerno, has brought his music to Brussels, where he has been living since 2009.
