Organised by the city\u2019s Italian Cultural Institute in conjunction with the Museum, the exhibition was set up for Sofia\u2019s festivities on 18 October. \u201cThe World of Myth and Spirituality of the Past and Present\u201d is dedicated to the history of the Bulgarian capital over the millennia and represents a variety of works based on four elements: air, water, earth and fire. One painting contains all the most significant dates from the foundation of the city of Sofia to date. Ms Occhipinti has had a brilliant career: in addition to having been conferred numerous awards, she is considered as an Italian point of excellence around the world. In the last few years she has been invited to hold lectures on etching techniques and art books at the Universities of Chicago, Stockholm, Ankara, Istanbul, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Rabat, Tainan, Taipei, Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Salta, Sao Paulo.
