The expedition consists of 8 tons of relief supplies \u2013 tents, blankets, plastic canopies for temporary shelter, electric generators, first-aid kits \u2013 destined to the civilian population of Syria.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is a concrete expression of solidarity and consideration for the Syrian people, so dramatically hit by the conflict, and follows up on the preceding interventions in response to the humanitarian crisis. \u00a0<br \/> The relief supplies will be distributed in the areas of Aleppo, Idlib and Hama, which are currently under the control of opposition forces.<\/p>\n<p>Italian Cooperation\u2019s financial commitment for the Syrian crisis has totaled over 118 million euros since the beginning of the conflict.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A humanitarian expedition of the Italian Cooperation service departed on 14 September from the United Nations Logistics Base in Brindisi.
