The plan aims to meet the mobility needs of the growing population of Perth and to enhance efficiency by relying on public transport, car sharing and sustainable mobility. The key point of the plan is to upgrade the transport infrastructure spanning 15-20 kilometers from the center of Perth, an area where most of the state&#8217;s future population is expected to reside. New railway and underground lines, roads, bridges and cycling paths are also part of the project. \u00a0The $1.6 billion (around 1 billion euro) Perth Freight Link is also in the offing, which will enhance the road connections to Fremantle, West Australia\u2019s main port. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>France: Atlantia takes 60% in Nice airport<\/strong> The Rome-based Atlantia Group, in a joint-venture consortium with French EDF Invest, was chosen by the French government as the best bidder in the tender process for the French State\u2019s 60% stake in the company operating the Cote d\u2019Azur airports (Nice, Cannes-Mandelieu and Saint Tropez). \u00a0With total passenger traffic of around 12 million in 2015, Nice is France\u2019s third biggest airport after the Parisian airports of Charles de Gaulle and Orly.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining 40% is still owned by the local Chamber of Commerce (25%) and local organisations Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur,\u00a0 the Alpes Maritimes department and Nice Metropole (5% each).
