On show will be 220 glass objects, including several objects produced by the Toso brothers, whose \u201cAntica Vetreria Fratelli Toso\u201d is one of Murano\u2019s historic traditional artistic glass-blowing factories. It was founded by the Toso family in 1854 and has always distinguished itself for being one of the best in the production of \u2018murrine\u2019, coloured patterns or images made in a glass cane. The exhibition will offer visitors the possibility of learning about the glass-blowing history of Murano which began in 1295, after the Venice government issued a decree to transfer the city\u2019s glass-blowing factories to the island for security reasons because the glass furnaces were often responsible for extending disastrous fires to Venetian buildings, which were mainly built in wood.
