The \u201cOsteria Francescana\u201d restaurant in Modena \u2013 Italy\u2019s first since the award was created \u2013 was elected the best restaurant in the world in the 2016 edition of \u201cThe World\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants\u201d, the prestigious international award that was held in New York.<\/p>\n<p>The success of Chef Massimo Bottura and his \u201cOsteria Francescana\u201d contributes to heighten the international prestige of Italian haute cuisine and high-quality wine and food products. It is one of Italy\u2019s core production sectors and its promotion is one of the cornerstones of the integrated promotion activities conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
