Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Massimo Marotti, recently inaugurated the exhibition \u201cDesign Icons\u201d in the prestigious Villa Audi art gallery, in the heart of Beirut. The show was organised by the Italian Institute of Culture in partnership with the Fondazione Sartirana Arte, the Semaan Gallery and the Audi Foundation to display, for the first time in Lebanon, an \u201canthology\u201d of the most renowned design objects conceived to decorate homes by combining beauty, comfort and functionality. The exhibition retraces 90 years of the history of design, from 1920 to date, and features the most acclaimed brands of Italian design: Fontana Arte, Artemide, Zanotta, Lodola, Kartell, Floss, Stoppino, Poggi, Castellani &#038; Smith, Zompi, La Murrina.
