Italian influences in Bucarest&#8221;, a photography exhibition organised by the Italian Embassy in the Romanian capital, in the prestigious National Museum of Art of Romania.\u00a0The show, which is part of the events organised to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Republic on 2nd June, is intended to\u00a0focus on the\u00a0contribution given by Italian talents to Romania, as reflected in the architecture and urban landscape of Bucarest, from the eighteenth century to the present day. More specifically, the project is\u00a0meant to take\u00a0visitors on a tour of\u00a0the city, identifying Italian architectural influences along the way. The\u00a0show is accompanied by a\u00a0 publication containing a selection of photos and a website (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciaobucarest.ro\/\">www.ciaobucarest.ro<\/a>).\u00a0It is a free exhibition which\u00a0will run till 15th August. Ambassador Diego Brasioli held an official reception to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Republic.\u00a0Many representatives of Romanian institutions (including the speaker of the Romanian parliament Valeriu Zgonea and the minister of Foreign Affairs Lazar Comanescu) and the diplomatic corps, as well as members of the Italian entrepreneurial, social and cultural community in Romania attended the reception.\u00a0\u00a0Romanian President Klaus Iohannis was the Guest of Honor at the reception.\u00a0In his\u00a0 speech, he\u00a0underlined the excellent bilateral relations between Italy and Romania, particularly in the\u00a0economic sector, pointing out the major contribution made by Italian entrepreneurs to the development of Romania.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A large audience gathered to attend the opening of &#8220;Ciao Bucarest.
